This is not a program for reporting, nor calculating payroll taxes. This is a system for calculating, managing, and tracking the amount of money you need to pay your employees. This is one piece of several other free programs we use to run our business efficiently.

This program was developed because we have approximately 30 employees and each employee is paid several different amounts, commissions, hourly, and daily rates. This system ensures the employees and the company that no errors are made.

Many contractors use outside service for payroll. Even though, I disagree with anyone needing an outside service, with the exception of an accountant, or CPA, all this free software is designed to prepare reports, to eliminate the need for an outside service, and even if you use an outside service, you still need to prepare reports, keep duplicate records, archive records, and have the ability to back-track, to check and correct errors. That is what this software does. It is to prepare your reports and make sure your records are accurate. Then, you can send the reports, to whomever you want, for processing.

Most contractors, with less than 50 employees, are doing twice as much work by having outside services, and they are wasting hundreds or thousands of dollars. You have more people to answer to, and more people involved = more errors. Sorry, but you will never convince me that having an outside service do your books, nor a wife, is better than having full control, and a system that is so simple, it can be learned and taught to another person, in less than a few minutes. You don't need Quick Books.

We use this system, every week. We have 30+ employee, we do about 60 to 70 jobs every week, and the entire payroll takes us about 3 to 40 hours. This program keeps us out of how water with our employees, because the system is very accurate.
