In the spirit of this forum I do not want to use this issue to showcase our products. That being said... You do have our web address and you can find us by googling
"Painting Contractor Forms"
"Roofing Contractor Forms"
"General Contractor Forms" etc.
We show samples on the website of every form we sell... but, as is the case with unhique, we protect ourselves by not showing the latest law changes on our samples... so if someone copies, they will not be doing themselves much good.

Always remember that you better know why you are putting something in your paperwork not just that it sounds good and others have it. If you do not know the law behind your content and the legal precedent for its interpretation as well as the reason for the content from a business/trade perspective... you will get slaughtered if it ever goes legal and your more informed competition will use it against you... sometimes getting the job you should have gotten!

Here is a pretty good employee hand book. I have highlighted the "name" and some other items you will have to change. The rest of the lingo you will have to decide if you want to keep it, delete some of it, or change it. Good luck. Hope it helps.

looking for a estiamter form

I am a local home renovator in Ont Canada. Im looking for some help with estimating.I was looking for a form or basic software that will help with estimating...for example im looking to do a complete basement reno.Aprox 1100 square feet. I have a layout done (on paper) and am looking to get a materials list together to go in the presenation. Is there such a thing as a check list or basic software to help with this? For years now I have been doing this in my head and on paper. The last 2 jobs I have come up short and actually lost money on the materials..guess my ol noodle just isint what it used to be..

You need to add the "fine print" in your quotes to make sure you dont lose money on the bid and also dont lose the customer by pricing yourself out of the competition. During my years of working as a GC, most of the subcontractors who worked for us started off with the lower price but mostly made lots of money in change orders because of how they worded their proposals that excluded so many things they other competitors had for so much less price. At the end of the day, those were the ones getting the job in the begining and finishing it at 100% more than initial price. Afterall its a business.
