Does Anyone have a warranty form

Does anyone have a written explanation of warranty that is to be signed and given to customers. I'd love to see one if it's out there.

I am also looking for a common 1 YR warranty form, for new home owners, on a new construction home. Anybody?

Our contract just simply states there is a two year warranty on any problems caused by improper installation.

(The tail light warranty didn't go over very well)

This is a pretty good one. I think you'll have to register to open the pdf attachement in post # 4.

Careful with including faulty equipment as a cause for warranty.

That says if a piece of equipment causes damage then your company will fix the damage for no cost. The manufacturer should also pick up the cost of the damage caused by their faulty equipment not your company.
Here is something that should be included instead.

This warranty does not cover any appliance, piece of equipment, or item which is a consumer product for purposes of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 USC, 2301 through 2312.) The manufacturers warranty will prevail.
IMO that's the only thing that needs to be said about equipment. It still gives you the option to fix it if you think it'll benefit your company in the long run but otherwise excludes equipment and appliances from your warranty.

Thanks for the example - I like it, and plan to revise it and use it in the future.

Are you willing to share your contract wording?

Mine is in the contract. It simply states we warrant all material (that we supply) for one year and two years on workmanship.

I don't know about other states, but here in MA. the customer automaticaly gets one year warranty by law.
