Anyone Have Template For Time Cards?

I usually just keep track of it myself, but sometimes get busy with other projects, and then can't remember when I go to do it. I decided it's something they can start doing on their own then turn in to me at the end of each week.

It needs to have hours and what job they worked at too. Somtimes they'll work at 3 different jobs in one day.

Do you guys have them give any details, like (we do kitch/bath remods) so they could indicate if they did plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc. I'd kind of like to start tracking how long each is actually taking to make sure we're pricing right.

It tickles me that Hatchet's form has them "initial if no injury" for every day. I see why it's done, but it's the first time that I've ever seen such a thing and it struck a funny bone with me.

It's called CMA
If they don't sign it they don't get paid.. unless, of course, they were injured.

Yeah, Hatchet covers everything! Could that time sheet be any more perfect?! That's awesome!

My hubby is involved with helping a friend/old boss with a false WC case. He has proof that this guy is lying. This has been going on for 4-5 years. What a headache. Your sheet certainly alleviates having to deal with anything like that.

Re: Anyone Have Template For Time Cards?

Dayspring, I think it's a good idea to have a daily timesheet vs. a weekly one like you have. Does it ever get tedious though? Certainly helps to not foget, which is what we all do by the end of the week. One of our guys gave us his timesheet yesterday (our first week of using them) and we don't even know if it's accurate or not We can't remember We definitely know that he didn't work 4th of July like he indicated

Re: Anyone Have Template For Time Cards?

I have a crew leader which I trust, that keeps the daily total hours for his men. I only use the other info to see what the job(or that part of it actually cost) and for building a data-base for future estimating. Doing remodeling, many days are spent doing a variety of task, therefore I had to do something so I can tell what cost me what. When the guys begin a task the time is written down and when completed again the time is written down. Hey, they don't complain about doing it they are being paid to keep these records, and it gives them a chance to catch their breath before begining another task

Re: Anyone Have Template For Time Cards?

If you use Excel... they have lots of free downloads you can get for timesheets. Go to excel... open a new document... and search for "timecard" or "timesheet". It will take you to the Microsoft website where you can download them...
