Taking Michigan Builders Test

To Michigan Builders,

I am taking my builders test on May 8th, and was wondering how long it takes to recieve your test scores afterwards and then the the time it takes for the application process for the builders license to go through?

Thanks
Chris

Re: Taking Michigan Builders Test

Chris -

After you take the Michigan Builder's Test, CSI will mail out your results the next business day. If you're taking the test on May 8, you should receive your results by or before that Friday. Once you have passed, your results will be posted on the Builder's application, which you will fill out and mail to the State of Michigan along with your application fee. Once the State receives this, it should take in the neighborhood of about 6 weeks to receive your license. Remember that the State will do a credit and background check before issuing your license. I hope this helps.

I took the test yesterday and was the last in and first out. It seemed easy which is causing me to worry a little about how I did. I guess I'll see in the next few days.

Yes Jayson,

It is true that you must complete 60 Hours of class time before you can take the test to get your Michigan Builders License. Take your 60 Hours with a real estate school that is certified to offer these classes. Call the Michigan Institute of Real Estate at 248-559-7555 and press 7. That is where I went for my class time. They are a great school and they have the lowest prices in the area. Trust me, I checked. Hope this helps!
