Up till now Ive only worked on my street 5 miles away tops . NJ is 6 miles away . How long has it been taking to get licenced in NJ ? I would like to start the job in November/December . My customer has plans & permits. John |

Re: NJ Contractors Licence ?
It's been about 3-4 weeks so far and all NJ has done is ask for more paperwork and cash our check.

"Provide the name and address of an agent in the State of New Jersey for service of process for L.L.C.’s, corporations, etc." Can someone explain (in terms one can understand), what this means? Are they requiring a lawyer contact who does business/has an office in NJ? Those of you registered in PA (or other states), how have you addressed this? |

Re: NJ Contractors Licence ?
Amelia - thanks and let me know. For the past 6-8 months we have been getting some feelers coming out of NJ for possible work. Had 2 last week alone, regarding shore/vacation home remodels in the winter.
We can meet everything except what I posted before...don't know what it means or if it is worth it. Any info would be appreciated. |

One of the links and forms they have on my paperwork doesn't exist on their web site. Probably it was renamed....ugh. |
