How can i secure this job

OK, I HAVE A QUESTION ... I AM A LICENSED FLOORING CONTRACTOR IN NJ AND CT, THERE IS A NICE JOB I CAN GET ON LONG ISLAND FROM A BUILDER BUT I DONT HAVE A NY/LONG ISLAND HIC LICENSE. IS THERE ANY LEGAL WAY OF GETTING THIS JOB... eg. GOING THROUGH A LONG ISLAND HIC CONTRACTOR AND GIVE HIM A PERCENTAGE OF PROFITS ECT.. IF SO PLEASE CONTACT ME OR POST HOW TO ??

Permit is not the issue [my guess is it is NOT a requirement]...the issue being, the OP wants to play by the rules and rule is if you are contracting home improvement services you must have a home improvement lice/reg. number.
