Hi All:
May I ask question?
Do I need to become licensed renovator in Ontario to run my business and how can I apply?
Thank you for your help.

If you are going to open a company (have a business account at the bank) then yes, you need to register the business. If you are going to work in the GTA you will need a "metro licence" They will issue you this to be a contractor, but it states on it "all work to be done by licensed trades" If you are not in the GTA, then just go for it. And for God's sake, get a minimum of 2 million liability insurance.

Thanks for your help, but where can I get "metro licence? I had a company and a business account at bank, so I think I do need a licence to run it right ?
Thanks again
