I have a GCG that is willing to quilify me for work in Palm Beach County, I have to do the legwork, so I am wondering if anybody can help me with the necessary steps to go about getting properly qualified by this contractor.

Re: Florida Qualifier Procedure??
It is a pain in the butt, the best advise I can give is go to Department of business and proffesional regulation web-site and get all the forms from them.

Re: Florida Qualifier Procedure??
What does it mean to get qualified by a CG? What is the essence of this process? Sorry if this sounds dumb, just trying to get the picture here. Thanks!

Re: Florida Qualifier Procedure??
He has a company that needs to be licensed to work and is looking for a person that holds a license to qualify his company (there will be a fee required by the license holder).
I personally feel that if you are going to go to the trouble and expense of owning and operating a company you should get your own license. But that is only my opinion of course, the less mouths to feed out of my pocket is better for me. |

Re: Florida Qualifier Procedure??
So if he is willing to qualify you for work in Palm Beach county then it sounds to me that he is going to try and get your company a Palm Beach County Regisration rather than a state certification.
I have a gutter company that I qualify in St. Lucie county for gutters because up there you need a license and in Palm Beach county you don't. The work around is that I used my CGC scores en lieu of the local test needed for registration. That way there is no connection to my CGC or CCC license or my own qualified business with DBPR. Correct me if I am wrong on my assumption. The way I see it... If a CGC qualifies your business with DBPR then its not just for Palm Beach alone. I would just work under his license and have him pull the required permits. if |
