B license help

I have a c61 in California but I want to go for my general. Are there schools or online materials to help you with the trade test. I passed the law but have taken the trade.

To be 100% Honest...The trade test should be easy for you to pass if you are qualified to be licensed in that trade. It is the Law part and all the deadlines that need to be studied for. The trade test is mostly reading plans and calculating square footage and other VERY basic crap...

Do you have a D classification to your C-61? What I am asking is...what are you licensed to do? C-61 is a "Limited Specialty" classification.

Never mind...I just saw the pre-fab next to your name. I would guess that a License exam prep school would touch on the trade part of the test.....mine was a home study course, and I don't remember doing ANY studying for the trade test other than answering a few trade questions on my practice exams.

Just go write the trade portion, nothing to really study, it's multiple choice.

You need to know how to count how many interior doors are on the plan, how much paint you need, how much vinyl flooring, etc.

It's a pretty straight forward test if you know the various trades

Actually the trades test is like send_it_all and Chris Johnson already said (typed) basic trade questions...do you know what a trapezoid is?

I would suggest Googl-ing if you haven't already cause there are some practice test online as well at the cslb.gov site.

There are several companies offering study materials. Some jack up their prices so be sure to shop around.

Watch who you deal with

This is in response to the post by License Guru and how some sites jack up their prices. There is an old saying "you get what you pay for."
Keep that in mind when deciding who to deal with and who to buy from.
