Acquiring Nyc Plumbing License
I'm a general contractor in nj, i also own an outsource management company that serves retail stores across the country, in the last couple of years the management company has acquired a nice amount of plumbing work in the nyc area ( 50+ calls per week ), I currently sub-out all of this work, needless to say the prices i pay for this work range from excessive to ridiculous considering most of the work is very easy ( i.e. unclog drains, replace faucets, etc. ). I would like to start self-preforming this work to save my clients money and improve my bottom line. How would i go about finding/hiring a licensed master plumber and qualifying my business to preform this work. I'm not looking to rent a license or skirt the law. I would think there has to be more then a couple of licensed plumbers who don't own their own company, or somebody who is retired or semi retired that this could be a great opportunity for. Any help or advice would be greatley appreciated.
