Using A Bobcat To Fill A Dump Truck

will a bobcat clear the sides of a typical 20yd dump truck? If not, does a T250 or T300 have a higher reach for dumping purposes?

Bobcat, New Holland, Etc. ............Nope! not your typical ones. MAYBE a Versa-Handler!

I guess I should ask "What Unit" Before my answer............

I have a Case 410. Not a problem if you build about a 2' ramp to back the truck up along.

If you are talking a typical 10 wheeler...no problem with my S250. I can load em all day long. I don't think you'll have much luck with a smaller machine...the 250 and 300's have a slightly higher reach.

Depends on what you consider typical.

If you mean the high sided quarry trucks, no a skid loader can't load those with out a ramp.

I have loaded plenty of tri-axle and tandem dumps that have lower sides with no problem, I can fill em till it rolls off the other side.

I have used a new holland 665lx for years, it has better reach than the comparable case, cat or bobcat.

The bobcat t250/t300 will load a pretty big truck.

What are you trying to do 72?

T-300 has a higher reach than the 250. We have 250's and have to build ramps to load quads with boards. t 250 will load most tri-axle's though. That's my 2 cents.

Re: Using A Bobcat To Fill A Dump Truck

I have a John Deere CT 322 (reach is 8.5 ft) and in order for me to fill a tri-axle I have to use my gooseneck trailer to server as a ramp. It works great! My machine is lifted an additional 3.5 ft and even though to set it up by lowering the landing gears, to serve as outriggers, can become a pain, it is well worth it by getting the job done. I have done this many times.

Of course not all sites will accommodate the room to set this up.

Hope this helps?
