Truck, Trailer, and Truck Body Names

Well it's friday night!

I'm thinking you list one manufacturer of trucks, truck body or trailer. From anywhere in the world. You need to state what it is, truck, body,or trailer. Give some history or your knowledge of what they did, or if you owned one or knew someone who did.

DON'T do a google search and post 35 names. Do a search find some history or information. Try and make this a body of knowledge not a list of names. But have fun.

example.. Prime Mover, Heavy off road truck manufacturer. Don't know they still may be in business. Big trucks

Okay I'm a jerk! So what!

Truck manufacturer from Cortland, NY started in the 20's??? very popular in the NE US. Mack bought them in 60's??? they were produced as Brockways until 1976?? Mostly a heavy truck. I own a 64' and 66' very heavy tandem dumps.

Like I said the looks of the new rigs have nothing over the old models back in their day with all the Chrome and shiney paint. Nick you have to rotate that first picture, looks like it fell.

I didn't realize old school trucks dumped off to the side. I like the newer rear method much better!

That was an attempt at inventing the first "side dumper" trailer! My grandfather and uncles first truck they bought for the company back in the 60's was an old Diamond T that they just recently donated to the MN historic transportation museum. They should have kept it...They are worth a mint.

Autocar is the oldest vehicle that is still made in the US today. They originally started out by making tricycle's. They were and born and raised right here in PA.

Euclid

An off road end dump used mostly in quarries and mines. It's bee around for a long time. The name has been owned by several companies from Terex until today I think it is Hitachi

Hitachi is owned by John Deere I believe. Also, I believe that Euclid was bought out by Volvo.
