Subbase For A Concrete Driveway
i would like to know what kind of depth do you have to dig out of an existing lawn to prepare a subbase for a concrete driveway.whats in the subbase?whats the depth of the subase?what does the depth of the concrete have to be?thank you

Giver - you sound like a taker. First post and on a contractor site you are asking what is the thickness of concrete on a driveway.
![]() As for soil, I would not pour anything on less than 2000psi dirt at 90+% compaction. Driveway thickness should be something that provides not less than 3500 for severe weather. If you want to know how to figure this out you will need the Terzaghi formula for general shear failure. |
