Sports ?

I was at a breakfast meeting the other day at the local bakery with two guys who are my same age a gravel pit owner and another excavating contractor. The waitress in trying to make conversation asked if we were ready for Sunday. We looked at each other and puzzled asked, Sunday?

She explained the superbowl and who was playing. We looked at each other, all of who had played sports when young but now they aren't to important.

Are you a sport follower?

Which one (s)?

What do you do for relaxation?

Does any one exercise regularly? (Don't say anything Joe!!)

Re: Sports ?

Well I do know who's playing on Sun., But I don't follow football. I like the Red Sox from growing up but don't follow them religiously. I do like watching Nascar. Hobbies...hmm. , none presently cept working on the house and I haven't been to much of that since before Christmas. I feel I get enough excerise during the week at work, although I can't convince my family.

Re: Sports ?

love to sit back and watch a braves game. also enjoy football as well. titans and vols. mostly enjoy watching my sons teams play. from little league for the younger one to the older one playing high school ball it is great fun to watch them play. win and loose.
to relax i ride a dual sport motorcycle. go find a dirt road in the national forest, get lost, then find my way home. or just a ride around the block. i try to walk a couple miles a day.

Re: Sports ?

I haven't watched an entire football game in years.

I'll sit down and catch a quarter or second half of a game maybe twice a season.

I passed on the Super Bowl parties we have been invited to this year.

I didn't even know who was playing in the "Big Game" till one of my builders was talking about a football pool he has a couple bucks in, he was betting on the Bears, and I had to ask who they were playing!

He said the Colts......Are they still in Baltimore?

Re: Sports ?

I watch a couple quarters of a game once in awhile. I am a eagles fan and if they are in the playoffs, I usually watch the entire game. I used to follow Nascar and NBA, but really don't have too much time anymore.

In high school, I competed in basketball and track. In college I competed in track. I still have the school record for my high school in the 110m high hurdles.

I used to exercise regulary, but when Thanksgiving came, that went down the hill. I need to start back up again.

What the heck is that? Oh wait. I saw that in a movie once. Some girl had a demon living in her and some priest was trying to help her out.

Naw, I leave that for the priests to handle. My workers comp don't cover no exercises.

Re: Sports ?

Are you a sport follower? Yes

Which one (s)? Supercross and Motocross

What do you do for relaxation? Reading the forum on Contractor Talk and working around the house.

Does any one exercise regularly? No

Word of advice guys. If there is a show or sport you would like to follow but cant ever seem to find the time, you must get a Tivo or other type of DVR. 30 minute shows become 20. 1 hour shows become 40 minutes by simply fast forwarding through the commercials. You actually get to take some of your life back from the commercials. Also when the wife MUST speak with you during your program you just simply press pause and say "yes honey, what do you want to talk about?" What a marriage saver!!!
