Re: Snow Removal Pics

Nice "toys". I cant remember where i saw it but there is a truck on the market for such snow removal as you are doing that has a heater in it that melts all the snow as the loaders dump in it. It is suppose to be alot less hauling, quicker and the truck can be dumped into a water drain or ditch. Seemed like a great idea to me but i am sure the truck is pricey.

Re: Snow Removal Pics

That is awesome having a ADT on site to move snow around. I wonder if I can talk the ppl into bringing ours up where we plow.....lol.

BTW, why are you hauling it out?? Can't you just piling it up in the lot ?

Re: Snow Removal Pics

rubber or steel cutting edge on your box pusher? we prefer steel to scrape the packed snow off the pavement. box pushers are the only way to go. we can do a 6" snow on a 5 acre target store lot with a 16' pusher and pickukp/blade in less than an hr. and a half.

Re: Snow Removal Pics

we run rubber edges on the loader pushers only because of the covers that are sticking up. the skid steer pushers are home made so they have steel. all we did for them was take the old fisher speed cast plows weld sides on and a attachment plate and make them pushers. those two track machines are like D8's with them and the rubber tired machine has an 8' snow blower

Nice iron John.

BTW, Love the older Macks. No one wants to drive that stuff today but I still have a thing for it.

Re: Snow Removal Pics

wheres the giant snow melter, basically a dumptruck with a huge burner under the bed of the dump truck,

the shopping centres around my area use them to get rid of snow instead of hauling it away

Re: Snow Removal Pics

WICKED a Cat guy! With that 287 make sure you keep the tracks tight and undercarriage clean. The model you have has a problem with injesting material and holding it inside the track frame. Those early machines were some of the best ones that Cat ever built.
