Scary, Huh?


found this while messing around looking for images on photobucket.

scary, huh? thank gawd for trench boxes!

no method of egress, box not 1.5' above excavation. what else is wrong here? i missing anything?

Looks like his spoils are a bit close for the soil condition but its hard to tell from the photo. As dry and chunky as that looks, I'd want them further away.

I'm glad no one was hurt.

This is the one that keeps me up at night.

I've used this article for training apprentice plumbers on trench safety. They quit bragging about how brave they are once they see the photo and hear the article.

Looks to me like it is winter time and there is frost in the ground. Possibly the sun came out and loosened up the soil ??

On 2nd thought, no it isn't. It is warm weather.
