Aren't rock drills used mostly for setting explosives?

I can think of three types of pavement breakers. One is a hydraulic hammer type (jack hammer style), cable lift guillotine type, & out of round rollers (kinda like a big 10 ton squared off lawn roller). The rollers make for a rough on the pulling machine!

Plaza,

A "breaker" is a hammering tool the action is a striking action only. Its function is to drive something downward (point, chisel, spade etc..)

A "jack hammer" or "rock drill" has a downward striking action and a ratcheting action that turns the bit. It's function is to drill holes in rock or concrete.

Short answer: yes

Longer answer: Yes when it has an asphalt cutter bit on it. Put a pointed(bull nose) and its a concrete or stone breaker
