Problems With Coursework!!!

Hey everyone,
I'm having trouble with some coursework on foundations. i'm meant to be working on-site but currently i'm stuck behind a bloody desk for 9 hours a day!
The question in my course work asks "Discuss with the relevant persons who are responsible for the design and construction of the foundation works and explain the critical issues anticipated or problems happened in relation to the foundation works."
Now we haven't actually started on site so i can't ask the 'relevant persons' for the information that i need. The type of foundations that we will be using are pile and cap foundations. We have done soil sampling boreholes and the ground was found to be fine for the type of foundations we are using.
Any input would be greatly appriciated! Let me know if you need more information on the question to help me and i'll post it asap.
Cheers guys.

Re: Problems With Coursework!!!

What is the question?
The competent person is the geological engineering firm that designed the pile and cap system for that particular site. Not only did they design it they should supervise this operation for quality control.

Re: Problems With Coursework!!!

All i need to know 'what could go wrong when using pile and cap foundations?'
If the ground is of a good load bearing material, what else could possibly happen that may cause a disruption in construction? could the weather be a part of the problem? are pile and cap foundations reliable?
do you think it would be a good idea to contact the geological engineering firm and ask them what information they could give me?
