Paint

Do you keep up on the paint job on your equipment?

What do you use? Have you found something that will work on faded paint?

Re: Paint

We buy factory paint in aersol cans by the case and give it to the guys to 'spot' paint as needed. It's a 'french whore' fix at best (looks damn good from a distance but doesn't look worth a f*#k up close) but it keeps the guys thinking about taking care of the stuff.

Re: Paint

I have a buddy that paints equipment for a living. Big company around here lease alot of stuff and time to turn in they call him. Or somebody ready to sell something he sandblast, paints and put new stickers on it. This guy stays very busy between this and painting machines inside of factories.

Re: Paint

Every winter we paint a couple pieces of equipment. Last year we painted 2 dozers. This winter we will be putting our 977 in the shop to paint. We tear them apart, sandblast them and paint them with factory paint. Also this winter, we are going to paint the frames on our dumptruck and truck tractor.

Re: Paint

What is this paint you keep referring to? Is this the evil Behr they keep talking about in the Painter's forum?

God makes Deere's green and Cat's yellow. I just try to not rub the hide off them.
