Older John Deere Excavator Equivilents
I have a question for my more knowledgeable peers. I havent beeen able to find anyone around here that can give me a answer to this. What is the modern numbering system equivelents to the older John Deere 592, 692, 792, 892, and 992 excavators.

A lot of the new designations refer to a machines weight in metric tons, i.e., a 330 = a 33 metric ton hoe, a 120 = 12 metric tons, a 200 = 20 metric tons, etc.
I think the 590 is now a 160 and the 992 a 450. You can read between the lines. |

As for a 300 vs. a 790, the 300 is rated at a little under 2 yards; the 790 not quite a yard-and-a-half. The 300 is closer in hp and weight to the 892. |
