Old Dog

We are renting a Cat 314 for a project. I must be getting old. It has the same pattern controls as our machine so that's not a problem. The emphasis with that machine seems to be speed. It travels very fast in low speed. We are working on a side hill were there is not much room for error. but just rest your foot on a pedal and it seems to be off and running. It has a very long stick, combine that with the cylinder speed, I haven't gotten it down to being too smoth. The bucket cylinder is very quick. Trying to handle rocks 40 feet above the ground without flipping them out of the bucket and down into the wetlands has been a challenge.

Well tomorrow will be another day! Who needs all that speed?

Re: Old Dog

This is a test!

What is the speed and trajectory of a 1 cy rock for it to jump over a silt fence and a row of hay bales 4 ft behind it and clear them by another 4 '?

Lost a few battles today!
