Re: New Holland Equipment

Good machines in my opinion. I've rented many New Holland excavators over the past 5 years or so. Have never experienced any problems with them.

I know little about large machinery, but I can add the the sewer and water contractor that we use for our underground work uses nothing but New Holland equipment, he has ten of their machines.

New Holland is owned by CNH Global which stands for Case, New Holland. They also own Kobelco.

New Holland used to be made by Ford. Now it is Japanese.

Hey, how was that cold, old pizza you demolished, Rino?

Re: New Holland Equipment

Cherryhill, the New Holland Loaders track loaders and skid steer loaders are made by New Holland in New Holland, PA.

The New Holland Compact Excavators are made by Kobelco.

I have not tried out the compact loaders they make but if they are anything like the skid steer they make, I would say it is a good machine.

I have had a New Holland LX665 for 12 years and can't do with out it and have had very few problems in that time.

Re: New Holland Equipment

I also like the New Holland, Kobelco mini excavators!! Very smooth. Sat on a Bobcat 430 at a Trade Show. For an extra $4000.00, the 430 offers a bigger machine than the New Holland 3.5 tonne... and with an a/c cab!!! Is this indicative of the quality or has anyone got any comments to compare the machines?

Re: New Holland Equipment

If thier small to medium excavators are now kobelcos I would have no problem buying one since i own and have owned several kobelcos and always thought they were great.

I know O&G bought a fare amount of NH equipment so it cant be bad.

About 6 years ago a freind of mine owned a NH excavator, large one forget the size, purcahsed new, and had nothing but head aches and the dealer, which I wont metion by name but they are the only NH dealer in Norwalk Ct., let the warrentee period run out on several issues and then my friend was forced to simply leave the machine at thier shop with the keys and said, "F.U. You make the payments." He promptly switched over to cat.

The track skid steers on the other hand leave somthing to be desired for me. We tried them all before deciding on a cat. My only regret was not realizing how fast that asv undercarrige can wear out but as a machine for operator comfort and job production we think cats # 1 there. HO penn on the other hand is another story.

Sorry to hear that for him, i guess a machine is only as good as the dealer. On another note how did he get away with just dropping it off at the dealer?

Of course they forclosed on the defaulted loan but my buddy had a mutitude of unfortunate problems leading him to finaly raise the white flag and call it quits. He now works for a builder in westport that he was doing all thier site work for. He made a deal to take a job and off he went. Cant say I dont feel that way myself many a day. Ant openings? LOL

The dealer or NH never went after him legaly though. Dont know why. Probably in the end between down payment and monthly payment they were ahead and just resold the machine.

BTW are you the cherry hill const in branford ct?
