Low Boy
any of you own a hydraulic folding gooseneck lowboy instead of a detach? if so, how do you like them? drawbacks? advantages?

We have a hydraulic detach, it takes about 5 minutes to seperate. We side load 99% of the time, so we don't use it that much anyways, unless we are hauling some of our bigger machines.

We have two Lowboy's with hydraulic goose necks. They are awesome trailers, never really any problems with ours. I think they are really good if you make a ton of moves with them. Once and ahile you'll bend a few ramps but easy fix. |

Re: Low BoyAlso hard on the truck, but we don't have much of a choice. We do alot of work in developments and there is no room to get a trailer into the lot, so we have to load the machine from the street. Since you can't drive the machine on the road, we just side load it. We've had the same trailer for about 10 years and the sides are bent down at all.
