Land clearing / tree removal

just a quick question as to what you guys would charge for a tree removal job. A customer has 60-70 white pine trees ( 60-90 feet tall) that he wants removed. The soil is sandy so i figured i will just push them over with the excavator. apprx 20 trees are within 60-70 feet of the house. I have someone who will take the trees and give me some money for them, but i have to keep the stumps and branches and deal with them myself. I estimated around $210 a tree cdn . Any thoughts on this?
Thanks.

that sounds low,,,,,,, it hard to tell without seeing the job,, too many variables,,

are you chipping on site? stump removal? loading the timber or are they going to use a prentice loader? time is money!

you wll be surprised how much time it takes to clear a mature lot ,,,,look closer at the job their will more hand labor then you think

I will be chipping on site and as for the stumps I am still trying to figure out what to do with them. Any ideas or tips for taking out the trees closer to the house?

hook a chain half way up the tree and hook it to a skid steer have a somebody cut with a chainsaw and pull it over. Thats how we do it.
Trees like that close to the house depending on size we get 600-1200 a tree. by the way make sure the cahin is long enough so you dont end up with a tree in your cab

We lost a clearing job to a non-union grading contractor because they said they could clear and burn for $2,500 per acre. THAT'S CHEAP!

Trees

I'm surprised they let you take out that many mature trees. Not much environmental protection out there, huh? Or did the leaf lickers just miss this one. Couldn't get away with that in my part of the world.

For a 1/2 acre lot, I get around $3,000. That includes, tree removal, chip and hauling out stumps. Now, this sounds like a bigger lot with alot more trees. Trees by houses don't bother me. I've flopped some pretty big ones between 2 houses and just last week I flopped a 4ft diameter tree next to a house and onto the road. I was waiting for the branches to puncture the asphalt.....lol

I'd have to see the actual site to begin with, but just a rough estimate. I'd say around $6,000.
