Just Another Day!

Finished this cellar hole today. Started it last Fri., decided not to work outdoors yesterday. I'd like to go with Denick Thurs. to Conex and also possibly meet Nac so I had to get it done today 11 degrees. Worked about 1/2 hr. and fuel line froze so sent helper to get heater and generator. Warmed up engine, changed fuel filter, bled injectors and away we went. All covered with Thermal blankets and Hay ready for concrete sub.

Nice work, Joe!

It doesn't look like it's all that cold, are you sure it was only 11 degrees?

Yeah, what about the frost Joe, around here we have big slabs of frozen ground left to deal with.

Your photos show no frozen ground...and in the last picture I notice a propane canister in the background...you weren't cheating and warming the soil were you?

Tom,
Most of the digging was done on Fri. and there wasn't really that much frost yet. Today there was around 8-10" and what there was I pushed off behind piles. This was a tear down and the propane tank was from the old house.

Nick,
What about what? I worked right through lunch today, made a good breakfast and had an apple around 10am.

Take that tank home. We use them plus a weed dragon to loosen up the carrier rollers in the winter time.

Hey Joe, why didn't you show us a pic of the hole before the hay. I know, you used the hay to level out the hole.

Re: Just Another Day!

Joe,

Another tight lot? Did you have to tear a house down?

I do have a queastion though. Up in the picture post in Pics CTkiteboardings pictures of his job is in Darien. Looks like a nice open job lots of room and trees. Joe he's only 2 towns away from Westport or Greenwich where you are always saying the lots are real tight.

Joe are you doing the low rent stuff?

You wouldn't believe how much you can hide with a bale of hay.

Nick,
Yes there was a house there that got torn down. This lot is much larger than we normally get. But it's still about 1/3 of an acre. Low rent? No I don't think there's any low rent in lower Fairfield County. We have applied for our Demo License so I'll be able to post some pics and associate myself with the " Wolf ".
