Interesting Demolition Projects

Anybody got any interesting demolition projects coming up (or going down, I should say) this spring?

Demo starts getting busy around this time of year. Anybody got any interesting projects on the boards?

Actually, I might have to demo a cottage on someones lot. A guy we know bought a lot in the newest local upscale development. It had a old cottage on it by the lake and conditions of him buying it involved him demolishing it. If we do it, we are gonna get in and get out ASAP.

Sounds pretty interesting!

How old is the cottage? Is there anything interesting inside it worth keeping? Why is it required to demo the cottage? What kind of equipment will you use to tear it down? How fast you gonna do it?

Re: Interesting Demolition Projects

Haven't looked at it yet. He just talked to us about it the other day. The reason that it must be torn down is because the development has a minimum requirement of a 2,300 sq structure. The cottage doesn't meet that requirement. We will use our 315c with a mechanical thumb and haul it out in our dump truck.

The development is around a big lake and the developer had to fight to even put a development in there. They are currently working on the 2nd phase and there is a woman inspector from the county conservation district that is giving them trouble for erosion control. We want to get in there, rip it down and get out of there before anyone knows we were even there.

Re: Interesting Demolition Projects

I like that, just get in there and rip it down fast before anyone knows what even hit that old cottage. IT's kinda like guerrella demo. I love it. Load it up with the 315. Sounds like a blast. Let us know when its gonna go--maybe get some photos and put them up here.

Most of all, have fun doing that demo.--and you know where to tell that conservation lady to stick it.

Later, man
