Rino do you have one of these? I googled International Harvester TD25c and the manuals are available there for like $30.00. Show us some pics.

72,500 lbs? It looks like it couldn't be over 2lbs.

Rino,
What are you getting yourself into now? Did you found a 3 for 1 deal? Getting 3 machines and hopefully you'll be able to rebuild 1. Sounds like a fun project. Nick and I just might whanna take a ride out your way once you get into a project like that. We'll just hijack Nac's Hummer.

Re: Ih 25c

Well, there is a local company that is going out of business and they are dumping everything they have. They have 2 of them that run fine. There are some leaks. Undercarriages are fair to good. One has a ripper and the other has a winch. They also have a 3rd one with no motor in that they are throwing in for free. We went to look at them but the temp was in the single digits so we didn't fire them up. Hopefully this week the weather gets warm and we can run them. The guy said that they will pop right off. The company my dad worked for back in the 80's had a couple. He ripped and pushed alot of rock and dirt with them. He said that they would out push the 8's they had.

Thanks Pipe. I do know that the C's have less HP. I think they are around 285. The newer models they bumped up the HP and they had problems with the rears.

rino,

I do have a friend who has a TD 25C. He loves it. If there is something specific you want to know I could call him.

Re: Ih 25c

Well, no 25's for us. We found out today that someone came in and bought everything up. My dad had his checkbook that day, but the guy said that he wanted to wait until it got a little warmer out to fire them up and that he would hold them for us. I guess that a man is only as good as his word

Sorry to hear that rino. I was looking forward to watching as Joe gave you some pointers on running that machine when we all get together at your place.
