Hello From MN!!!

Hey guys! Been awhile since I've been on but I"ve been extremely busy with the new job. First, I hope all your prayers are with those who were on the I-35W bridge when it collapsed. It's a bad deal....A fellow operator is missing at present. He was in a skid-steer when the bridge went down. Note: PCI was working on the bridge when it fell. As for my job, so far so good. First job they gave me was close to 1 mill, Intersection project in St.Paul. The project is broken into 3 phases. First phase they gave us 21 days to complete (500ft from the intersection to the south, 2nd phase (the intersection) they gave us 7 days. Both first and second phases must be completed and open to traffic in 28 days. Third phase (500 ft from Intersection to the north) must be open to traffic in another 21 days.....Calender days. This past Tuesday I began the third phase. I opened the first and second phase with 3 days to spare. Hopefully my pics will DL on to here. They were taken on the day I shut the Intersection down. This job includes some storm sewer work, water service work, a 2ft sub-cut throughout the whole job. 24ft widening of the roadway to accept turn lanes in the intersection. 18" of select granular, new 5ft sidewalk, new curb & gutter and 7 inches of bituminous pavement. I'll get the pics in at some other time....I have to resize them.....sorry guys!

Is this the one at White Bear and Maryland? If so, that's less than 3/4 of a mile south of me. Pick up the pace, would ya? The detours annoy me since both houses I work on are on the other side of the tracks.

TMatt, good to see you back. Best of luck with the job. Pictures would be good.

I'm just kidding about the detours. I don't mind too much- I either take McKnight or Johnson Parkway. Are you the same guys who did the widening at White Bear and Minnehaha?

No, actually, PCI did the Minnehaha project. South bound WBA should be open for ya in around 2 weeks or so.

I drove across the bridge going northbound for the first time this evening, found out that I was able to turn onto Maryland now. Project looks good. Enjoying Pappy's at all? I love that place.

Re: Hello From MN!!!

Dustball....I have enjoyed pappy's quite a few times so far. I'm hurrying up just so I quit spending money at that place!! You should be seeing curb and gutter going in on the north section by Thursday the 16th. By the following week the road should be open. Stop by and say hey if you'd like, I'm always on the job....Look for the 08' F-250
