Firewood Pocket Change

Anyone supplement their income collecting and selling firewood? In my early 20's a couple of buddies and myself would put out 100 or so cords per season. I pass a place traveling Rt.7, the guy must have 300 cord each year, my back aches just looking at it. I don't even want to deal with it for my own house, I'll be going with a gas fireplace for a little heat and to set the ambiance.

Re: Firewood Pocket Change

jmic,
i've had 3 houses w/wood fireplaces. this is the first house with natural gas fireplace. i hit the remote, it comes on, i can make it higher, lower flame, turn up/down the fan, it's 85% efficient, i no longer have mice in my garage, no wood to haul in, ashes to haul out,no stink gives me more time even at my age where i need it to work on the ambience HAHAHAHAHAHA
