Financing
With Bobcat now signed on as our forum sponsor ( Contractor Talk's first major, major corporate sponsor) and offering 0% for 42 months The question is,
If you are in the market for a machine is there any reason not to buy now when there is 0% financing available?

Re: Financing
Ya its a good time to buy a new piece of equipment as long as you have the work to use it enough. If you are only going to use it 200 hours a year whats the point. People have to remeber also if they keep these machines for around 3 years, they only get half of there money back. maybe a 1/3 when they sell them. Why not buy a used piece of equipment, work the crap out it and sell it for the same price you paid for it after a year and get something newer. Also this does not mean go out and buy from a used equipment dealer. I mean buy one from a private owner or an auction.

Re: Financing
0% financing is a good deal. We are in the market for a tracked skid steer too.

Re: Financing
money, costs money! don't get me wrong, i'm not implying anything bad on bobcat's offer here, i think it very gracious of them to sponsor our site. that said, i've had several occasions where 0% in the end was going to cost me as much or more as conventional financing. one excavator i bought was offered with a 1.9% interest rate from hitachi, it was cheaper in the long haul to finance through my bank at conventional rates because of the cash discount the dealer offered me for a cash deal.

Re: FinancingQuote:
IMHO The financing offer is Excellent !!! Buying a used machine will genrally be an " All Cash" purchase, Right ? The down payment for a New machine will no doubt be way less than the cost of a "Used" machine from who knows who, that has been thru probably You Know What ... Business is Business. In all areas, most people know the thing to do is "Buy the Best Possible Tool" for the job. It just seems this would make a Nice Asset for alotta businesses. Sounds like a real Good Deal to me.
