Excavating And Grading Plans?

What are the plans called that operators read to find out where to dig? For example, if he was gonna start digging the footers, would it be the foundation plan? And what about the grading?

You would want to look for the grading and elevation plans, or on a residential site you might find what you are looking for on the septic plan

If you digging foundation, the area would be staked our with steaks usually set 10' off, and you would have a cut sheet with floor elevation so you know how deep you have to go and a foundation plan so you could lay it out.

Re: Excavating And Grading Plans?

First, Hi to the new guys.

I would agree with the others:

Site plan shows the house location and elevations, as well as any grading and drainage notes.

Foundation plan would have detailed measurements and relevant information specifically about the foundation.
