East Coast Get Together!

There's been enough talk about doing something to get people together that are on the East coast. From those who have put in 2 cents it seems it would be easiest to do it South New Jersey, Eastern Penn, Maryland?

When? Where? Who?

dayexco has said he would travel out to this event if we get it together.

LOL, tell him we need to pick a date and a hotel first. Yea, I assumed by his last post in that other thread he was in need of unwind time.

As for me, you wont have to ask twice or twist my arm, thats for sure.

Now why would you want to go? Can you imagine what they will talk about? The E&SW guys have never really grown up...they just play with bigger toys now!

Re: East Coast Get Together!

OK.

How do you guys feel about December, second weekend, that would be Friday 12/12 and Saturday 12/13. Metro DC area = Maryland.

I can work out some resturaunt, hotel, and local transport for those that will fly or drive in. There are 3 major airports here.

If this won't work as far as the dates, we can do it after the New Year. If the local is not good....I'm open to suggestions.

Let's have some feed back guys, let me know what you think.

Sounds good for me Tom. Might be a little too south for some of the others though. Maybe Philly would be more central???

I'll be in Baltimore in Febuary for a couple of days. Any great restaurant suggestions??

Re: East Coast Get Together!

Vinny, you are correct, Philly would be more central. In fact if the Sands At Bethlehem Steel was up and running I would have suggested we all meet there.

Problem is I have no knowledge of Philly and can't do any type of arranging there.

We all want to have a meet and greet, but no one seems to be willing to take charge, so I thought I would throw out a date and venue. I picked an area I am familiar with. I don't mind going to another city, I just can't do the planning that.

On a side note.
The last time I was in Philly, I ended up in a neighborhood that literally had burned up automobiles in the streets, that looked like they had been there for weeks.
Row houses with the windows boarded up, etc.

Re: East Coast Get Together!

Sorry guys, 12/12 won't work for me, my son is flying in for an interview in Albany. I haven't seen him for a while, so I have to spend a few days with him before he flys back out. But don't let me ruin your plans.
