Digital Take Off Tools

i'm getting ready to pick up something to make it easier for measuring from blueprints or plans. at a minimum going to go with the pen style roller measuring device. one i have found has a pc hook up. is this a good option to have for one of these tools? just to be able to measure will help but if the pc adapter is worthwhile i'll go that route. what do you guys use or find helpful. i don't need any of the advanced take off programs yet. or at least i don't think i do.
thanks in advance,

Re: Digital Take Off Tools

Contractor tom just posted his paydirt system (old) for sale for $300.00. You should be able to talk him down to 250 . I would check it out. Sooner or later you will want one and your not going to find it for for less then $3,000.00

See this post:

Paydirt Software
Anyone out there have an retired digitizer and interested in an older version of Paydirt software. I used it from 1989 through 2002. It still works fine and I have keys necessary to unlock the program. If you do not need all the new bells and wistles but just the down and dirty real cubic yard quantities for bidding, then this is for you. I paid over $2,000. originally, would let it go for $300.00. Get back if interested.
