Chipper
Went to a auction last week and picked this badboy up. It is a 2004 model and will take a 15" tree.

We went to the dealer to look at new ones and for a new one it was $40,000. They had a 2003 with 300 hrs for $32,000. Well, at the auction, it was locked up and nobody had a key, so we couldn't check out the hours. Just by looking at it, you can tell that it was hardly used. The paint on the exhaust manifold wasn't even burned off. We bid on it and get it for only $20,000. We get it home and drill out the pop-rivets that held the plate on that covered the hour meter. Low and behold, it only had 73 hrs.

Rino, Nice looking unit. Years ago a guy in the next town over put his wife through a rented wood chipper. Big murder case for years. So what are your intentions for this rig?

Are you going into the mulch business? Or just buying a new toy?
You got really lucky on that one. Congratulations.

You can't mulch with a chipper just to let you know. You need a tub or horizontal grinder. I've been in the tree business for over 20 years.

Nice going Rino!
A Great deal and should give you years of service, or you could even turn it around for a profit! As you say it is worth over $32K.
I wish I had been able to attend that auction, only about a 45 minute trip for me. Had to work.

What a shame, it was a beautiful day. Too nice to be working
Anyway, we clear alot of lots and roadways for sitework jobs. Burning is becoming almost extinct finally in my area. Besides, you can chip alot faster than sitting there and watching a fire.
