Battery Powered Grease Guns

I was asked today if we would buy battery powered grease guns. I only see problems with batteries. Is anyone using them?

I've used one for about 3yrs., it's been great, really has alot of force, still using the same battery. But then again I've only used it twice. just joking! It's a "gotta have one" IMO

I need the exercise, so i'll stick to the good old pump action.

In our shop when I grease the trucks I use our air greaser which makes life alot easier.

we have one electric grrease gun. It's 2 years old and gets used daily. It's a good tool.

If the tool is used to grease 2 machines a day how long can it sit out in a truck before charging? How long do the batteries last before replacement?

Friend of mine has one and greases many pieces of equipment per day. It is a Lincoln, I believe, and it has a cigarette lighter charger for it and two batteries. I have used it and I like it.

At work we have a Lincon Electric grease gun and it have served us very well. It came with 2 batteries we carry the second one fully charged as a backup. A charged up battery lasts quite a while. This Gun also has lots of pressure. I would strongly recomend staying with a "Big Name Brand", I have't heard of a non BNB gun being worth taking home. It's the same old story, "You get what you pay for".

There maybe other companys that make them , but I only know of the Lincoln. I think the battery will last at least 3 normal greasing's and after 3 yrs. I'm still on the same battery. Whats nice is I've had some fittings that you could not get any grease in with a reg. grease gun, but these things really have the power to send it through.
