Back From MN For The Weekend!!!!!
Hey guys!!!! I'm back in town visiting the family for memorial weekend. I haven't had time to establish an internet connection up there. Been busy getting to know all the guys, and fitting in to the flow of a new company. So far so good though, I cannot believe how nice everyone has been here. It's unlike anything I've ever experienced in a construction company. I even have an 08' F-250 superduty. Well, I'm sure everyone is busy this weekend, but I just wanted to stop in and say hi.

Re: Back From MN For The Weekend!!!!!
Tim,
Congratulations on your good fortune with the job. I hope things keep going well. I have missed your input on the forum. Gee you are older now! Maybe more mature. Soon one of the Senior members of our group. get any gray hair in the move?

Re: Back From MN For The Weekend!!!!!
TMatt142 -
Have you fished either lake 1, lake 2 or lake 3? (all Forest Lake). You must be encountering the "Minnesota Nice" syndrom. My wife has been away from the east (PA. CT & VA) for 12 years and still has a problem with the different approach. It keeps her off balance. The big northerns will be hitting soon in the deep water. If you are a rookie, you can always settle for bass in the shallows. Welcome to MN - just about 10-15 miles south of you near the mess Shafer is fighting and lucking out with because of the dry weather.

Nice to see ya Tmatt.
How do you like the '08? My super duty is almost 10 years old now. I may be looking to upgrade in the future. Get off your duff, and get some Internet access up there so we can get regular updates on the "nice people"! But seriously, glad to hear it's working out so well! |

Re: Back From MN For The Weekend!!!!!
lets see here.....Gray hairs......no...not yet. Fishing,.....Haven't got to do that yet but the company takes all their foreman up to Canada at the end of every season so I'll get plenty of hard water fishing then. The truck is nice (who would complain about a brand new truck?) Although they only buy standard cab trucks. Lack of room would be my only gripe. This BTW, is the first Ford I've taken possesion of and since it's "on the house" I won't say anything about that either! I'm well aware of the "MN nice" thing, but I was refering to the fact that this company takes it PAST the typical MN nice! Everyone has taken the time to welcome me into the "Forest Lake" family. So in addition to that, all my spare time has been spent searching for houses. I cannot believe how many houses are for sale out there!! Good for me, bad sign of whats been happening in the housing industry though.
