Pressure Washing Liability Release Forms

Hi Everyone, Newbie here

My Husband and Son are in the process of starting a pressure washing business, and was wondering if anyone out there could help them with a copy of a General Liability Release Form that they may be able to modify and use as their own. They will be cleaning Residential, Industrial, Commercial, and Agriculture locations, as well as vehicle fleet cleaning. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. If so please email it to klmcleod@earthlink.net

Re: Pressure Washing Liability Release Forms

Welcome Kat
Well, if there's any of those out there, this forum would probably be the best place to find it

I don't know how it works in your neck of the woods, but liability ins. for PWing is a small percentage of my ins. bill, and is based on my experience

I could lower my ins. bill by asking PWing customers to sign a release I suppose...(I never looked into it...it may not even be legal here)
I wouldn't be able to lower my rates for PWing that much by eliminating the PWing liability ins. anyway
It's not my biggest overhead expense

I'd recommend getting the ins.
It will be a great sales tool, and well worth the ROI, not to mention the POM

Insurance is always a must and release of liability forms are over rated. Any good lawyer no matter what is on the form that was signed, will find a way around it and take everything you own. If damage is done it is a professionals job to take care of it.

Not trying to be an asshole here - but if they cant afford a couple of hundred bucks to get the insurance rolling for at least the first quarter then they should not be going into business yet.

No matter how good you are ****happens.

Get the insurance and you wont be giving other Contractors the tools needed to sell against you. I get lots of my bids(often higher) just because I was able to produce proof of insurance.

Re: Pressure Washing Liability Release Forms

You can still have a liability waiver to help head off trouble. This is really just to inform your customer of what they should do to prevent problems. Also, most times, they will sign the paper and refer back to it if something does happen and realize they can't do anything and won't go the route of a lawyer. Only those really stubborn ones will want to get the lawyers involved.

Good luck!
