Pressure Washing A Composite Deck
Hello to all,I have a composite material deck to wash for a painting customer. It is full of mold and mildew and I would normally use bleach mixed in with water, but she has shrubs all the way around the deck and afraid of harming them with bleach.I have used Jomax in the past but not to happy with the results.Anyone know of a good cleaner thats safe on plants. Thanks Doug.

Re: Pressure Washing A Composite Deck
I pre-wet the plants before and rinse during and after with low pressure. Haven't killed a plant with bleach yet.
Killed quite a few being careless with 200' hoses though.

Re: Pressure Washing A Composite Deck
You really shouldn't pressure wash a composite deck anyway or at the very least use less than three hundred psi. Your best bet is to do like Jesse said, pre wet all plant life and don't go over 3% sodium hypochlorite dilution. Use a truck washing brush to agitate and rinse with a garden hose.
