  • Maximum pump operating temperature of 70°C / 160°F
  • Chemical injector with soap metering valve
  • Thermal relief valve
  • Powder coated frame with removable handle
  • 13 inch pneumatic wheels
  • 36 inch gun and wand assembly
  • Non-marking high pressure hose
  • Nozzle orifice size - 3.5
  • 4 Quick coupled nozzles:15° (yellow), 25° (green), 40° (white) and 50° (black soap tip)

Re: My New PW'r

I think I like that. I like it A Lawt!

Can not go wrong with that Honda 13 GX nor the CAT pump!!!

You should be able to write your name in concrete OR cut yer toes off!!! Careful now!!!! Or does it not have a pin nozzle? (Red)

My biggest question is the gun/wand construction. All metal or plastic/metal.

Not too bad for $1400. Looks like it will last a while.

Re: My New PW'r

Thanks, lot of fun so far...love having toys that 'blast' 'things' at high pressures...just going to add a new sandblaster next week to my toys (Dry Ice Blaster and Pressure washer). I guess the nice thing is I'm still thinking of these items as fun...sure it's tough, messy work but I still enjoy blasting.

Yeah, the gun is a plastic/metal combo - the trigger column is plastic (or a type of molded plastic).

Yes, it was $1349 CAD...list price was approximately $1875. Overall, not a bad price. I have a hose reel as well attached - it was thrown in the deal.

Are the CAT pumps any better than the General or AR pumps?

Its the CAT 66DX40G1I series pump. No, not an adjustable pressure wand...

As far as "adjustable pressure wand".........I have never seen a wand that did not respond accordingly to how hard one squeezes the "trigger". If that is what you mean. Other than that, I know not about "adjustable pressure wand". And I have managed a couple-a car washes in Phoenix/Atlanta/Florida. That is the REAL P/W!

Re: My New PW'r

alright, here's a question for the tech guys here.

Will running my pressure washer with little amount of water pressure hurt the pump (or pressure washer in general)??? I ran it today for a short while (15-20 mins) and there was no water pressure and it was sputtering quite a bit...frustrated me...lol.

Yes, this can cause substantial damage to the pump. Similar to running an engine without oil. If your line ever chatters when you are washing you are not getting enough supply to keep up with the pump. You should have a resevoir or reserve tank on your machine with the unloader plumbed to bypass into it.

Re: My New PW'r

Never run your pressure washer without water in the pump, squeeze the trigger till water comes out first, then crank it up. It's kinda like running an engine without oil. It can really mess things up. Never run your pressure washer for extended periods of time without releasing pressure, as the pressure build up will damage the pump as well. Also make sure you over winter your machines properly.

Cat is a good but expensive pump, not only for the pump itself but also for the parts. Often 3x's more expensive for parts and kits. Perhaps better than General and AR but i don't think its always worth it. We typically use General. Legacy makes an excellent pump as well, its a Landa in disguise.
