Log Homes?
What are you fella's using for pressure when cleaning a Log Home? I am using 2500psi and i am keeping the tip away as not to damage the pine, problem is i am still shooting water inside the home through the logs. I would expect seepage but the water is actually shooting 2'-10' inside. I have had to roll up some of the throw rugs and move furniture so nothing gets too damaged. Obviously i had some water damage from the water until i found it at the end of the day. I am thinking of using an electric washer now with only 100-1600 psi to see if i can prevent more water intrusion. Thankfully i contacted the owner who is also a general contractor and he is very understanding. Thanks for your time.

Re: Log Homes?
Use the lowest pressure you can get by with, 100-200 psi or so. You may want to brush the home before you rinse it to create a softer rinse.
I've heard of one guy shooting chems 10' across a room and ruining a baby grand piano. So yeah, it happens, be careful. Give Russell a call from Extreme Solutions 1-636-288-8512 www.woodrichbrand.com Gutter Clean & Power Wash Hickory NC Last edited by tom connelly; 09-10-2008 at 01:27 PM. |

Re: Log Homes?
Well i had to leave one wall due to belongings on the porch, the owner stated he would move everything himself so i let him. He arrived and moved his items and decided to just clean the wall with brushes and a garden hose. He too had alot of water intrusion through the wall with only 30-35psi so now we beleive there is a problem with how the home was constructed. He paid me right up in full and asked if i would stain the home, cut 8-10 tree's, move some large stones, level part of his yard, add onto the culvert next to the road, widen his driveway and chip up 4 huge piles of brush. Apparently my honesty to the problem and the extra steps to clean up and avoid more problems was worth it.
