KEW Pressure Washer Question

I have a old (1985) Kew "hobby" pressure washer that works great for what I do. I had to replace the hose unit complete. The problem is that the new hose will not fit onto the pump. I think it might be a metric thread. Can I purchase an adaptor to make the new hose fit.

Not sure what you mean regulate the pressure: the tip on mine turns to make the pattern change.

Re: KEW Pressure Washer Question

Ok I have been able to attach the new hose and wand to the machine. The new hose is 25 feet 5/16 the old hose is 25 feet 1/4 inch. With the new hose the machine will bulid pressure but pulsates all time ,back to the old hose all is good ,whats up with that.

Re: KEW Pressure Washer Question

Lot of difference in the diameter of the hoses in terms of volume. I may be wrong, but I think I have seen Teetor post something on this. Seems like it goes something like a quarter increase in pipe equals more than a quarter increase in volume of liquid being delivered through the hose or pipe, so I guess the pump/engine has to work harder.

I bet someone in the plumbing section could answer this.
