How to cover coy pond & how to charge

Just looked at a pressure washing deck job that has a small coy pond (3' x 6" at most) to one side. I didn't see any fish in it but they may be hiding. I'm wondering how to cover this pond to not get water or solution in it and what most of you charge for it?

Thanks, Pat

It's a "Koi" pond.

Thanks Frank.....

You folks on this site are more interested in in pointing out little petty things like a misspelling than helping people!!!! This site does more negative crap than positive, I don't know why I waste my time coming here occassionally to ask for advice. Yeah, I know I misspelled another word.

Too bad you can't be as helpful, friendly or knowledgeable as the John Bridge Tile forum. I think I will take my KOI pond question over there. The moderators on this forum allow so much petty and stupid stuff to go on it's unreal!!!!!!!!

Pat, I don't do much pressure washing but I do end up working around these little "Gold Fish" ponds occasionally.

I would just get a full sheet of 1/2 ply wood and some 6 mil poly. Prop the ply wood up on some stakes so it slopes toward your work area and cover the wood with poly and allow it to drape way out beyond the edges.
I would use some sod staples or large stones to hold the plastic sheet in place while working.

I would figure in some time to get the material set it up and take it down, probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 75-125 bucks would probably cover it.

Good luck with it.

I hope I didn't misspel anything.

Don't cover it, clean it. If there are fish in it, put them in a garbage can with clear water (de-chlorinate if municipal water). Clean and refill the pond as part of the project.

I have a pond and in my backyard, about 200 gallons. i pump it down and clean it every spring.
