Hot Or Cold Water
Hey folks, I'm thinking of going to hot water after using cold for many years. The reason is two fold. One, I understand that soaps work better injected being mixed warm or hot and second...gutters that are cold (fall months) do not clean as well as when they are warm. This gutter fact has been tested by me many different ways. There is no doubt that hot water would help this situation. I have heard some goods and bads about hot water. I would appreciate any advice you may have. Thanks, Bob Gomez

Re: Hot Or Cold Water
I can only tell you a HW washer is on my wish list. Yes it helps to warm it up a bit on those chilly days. Also...if you do any concrete cleaning, you'll want it. I got to use a HW washer a while back with my surface cleaner and it worked soooo much better. If you can swing it I'd definitely do it.

Re: Hot Or Cold Water
HOT!!!! once you go hot it's hard to go back. I have done ALL kinds of water blasting, from high pressure (up to 40,000PSI) to hydro-vac (digging holes with water and vacuum). I have washed every type of heavy equipment and oil plant process equipment. You HAVE to use hot for any oil washing, and warm works awesome for washing vehicles. If you purchase a boiler you can do alot of winter work, such as steaming frozen sewer/water piping, etc. You can snake frozen waterlines....it's endless.
Go Hotsy. |

Re: Hot Or Cold Water
Hot / Steam pressure washing is the only way to go... you can always turn off the heat if you don't need it for a particular job. Most of our power wash jobs are cleaning concrete, so we use the heat all the time, makes a big difference.
