Cedar Home

Hey all,
What would be the best solution to pre wash the cedar home prior to staining. The current stain on there now (which is pretty much pealed off ) is sekkens (spelling?). This is my first one like this, it's actually my in-laws home...free labor...lol...might be a few beers in it for me.

Thanks,

I was going to just pressure wash due to not having access to a corn cob blasting unit.

thx

Stripper rinsed with low pressure followed by brightener.

Re: Cedar Home

Extreme Solutions makes excellent products. There stripper is called HD-80 and there brightener is called Citralic.

EaCo Chem also makes excellent detergents although they specialize more in masonry than wood. They have a great stripper called LCS and a brightener called Britenol. They put a lot of thought into their products.

I prefer Citralic as a brightener. Although it is more harsh a chemical than Britenol and must be handled and applied with care.
