Wood stove and furnace exaust

I have pretty nice chimney in my place and it looks like it's in good condition. I'm thinking about adding a wood stove to cut down on heating cost this winter, here is my plight.

The furnace exhaust uses the chimney. Can the rising heat draw my pilot out? I'm thinking of re routing the exhaust. Necessary?

Any other input?

Bob

I am not a hvac guy.
But in my area you can not combine the two do to the chance of unused gas from the furnace getting traped in the chimney and causinng a explosion
Also most insurance comp. will not insure if you have it set up like that.

Is the furnace direct vent?
