Wall Mount Heat Pump
Can anyone give me their opnion on mounting a Heat Pump on a wall bracket? The exterior of the house is brick. Any vibration concerns when it cycles?
Thanks |

Re: Wall Mount Heat Pump
I've mounted heat pumps in that manner when the condensing unit had to be on the side of the house where the snow drifts happen to pile up. The bracket was to keep the heat pump out of the snow.
I've typically had the bracket made at a local welding shop, but this bracket is sometimes available from the manufacturer of the heat pump. The compressor is mounted on vibration isolators inside the unit. I did place vibration blocks on the one's I did between the unit and the bracket. They are rubber covered cork, about 3" square and 3/4" thick. |
