Transformer question

Hey guys,

On some new high-efficient furnaces with DC motors, there is a 2-wire transformer attached to the blower. Most transformers have a primary and secondary winding(hence 4 wires), this transformer only has 2 wires.

Anyone know what the purpose of this is?

Thanks
