Thumbs down Thermostat and AC died!

It's 400 degrees outside and I have to work in my shop all day today. My AC just went out the other day. I turned it on, heard a click and the whole thing shut off. Thermostat just went blank. AC shut off. Nothing will work. I can't get in touch with my landlord. I think he changed his number on me. I checked the circuit breaker box, and nothing was tripped. Can someone give me some suggestions?

Sounds like the transformer might have blown on you.. Usually a 24vac. It powers the thermostat circuit amongst other things.

Change the batteries in the thermostat. If that is the solution you don have to come back and tell us.

Usually the batteries in the T-stat is for backup purposes. Can't hurt to change it out though.

Finally got in touch with my landlord. He's sending someone in the morning. Thank the Lord!

My landlord had his phone disconnected for a couple of days. Just happened to be the days I was trying to reach him.

And that's his story and he's sticking with it.
