Despite what others may say, Goodman has stepped up their game. If one wants high end it's Amana. If one wants high end, when you compare Carrier, Lennox, or Tranes high end to Amana, I will bet Amana is a better value.

Nevertheless, it's all in the Ductwork.

I doubt its that much of a value when I can't even beat ICP pricing with goodman equipment. Their stuff is not that cheap anymore.

Re: Tempstar V.s. York

FYI...you and one other were the only ones bashing that brand (which price quoting and brand bashing is not what this forum was set up for?). In a competitive "real world" environment, it is natural to point out your benefits and the competition's weaknesses. But in a cyber site such as this, I've only heard so far nothing but generic brand bashing.

Just a few of your comments that would make me fire you if you worked for me:

Well that trane statement pretty much determines to me that you don't know what your saying.

Once again try speaking better english when you put me down and have some substance to it.

"their" gone not there

bigmouth!

dont get upset at me because I made fun of your cheap unit brands. It's not personal to you dude.

Anyway when you have a valid point let me know.

Wow. You like to make yourself look like an idiot dont you.

Well I guess since they aren't the same company anymore I really don't give a . Do you remember that?!! Different company dumba.

Back in 96 when the hourly rate was around $45-65 an hour where I was working I would say that isn't such a bad rate anyway. Unless all of your units are on rooftops as you so drastically described ( i somehow doubt they were) Actually I would thing it safe to say 90% of the units probably were installed in apartment and row home complexes in new construction so I'm sure they could have been done in record time.

Actually I don't take this industry all that serious. While it has been good to me and I enjoy my job some days it just isn't all that serious. I much rather enjoy working on things that really make me think like industrial refrigeration rather than boring residential commercial AC. Obviously you are one of those know it all blowhard residential kings

Relax dude. It's not all that serious.
Your commenting about a brands ten year past when it was a completely different company. LOL.

Ten years ago I don't think any technicians were making $25 an hour except for maybe the top guys so EVEN if it takes an hour at a clip (which it shouldn't) I think it would have been fine especially for a PM tech or a new guy to handle.

Anyway when you have a valid point let me know.
Do you often contradict yourself just to argue?

It's really hard to figure out what your getting at since you dont know how to do multiple quotes on here. How did I contradict myself? I was simply answering you stupid point you were trying to make about not making enough money on warranty ten years ago. Please if you want to discuss this get your thoughts in order and have at me.

Use the old cut and past function from different windows to do multiple quotes. Makes it easy to comment on each one in one window.

BTW I have been fired from better places that you. LOL I also dont work on appliances anyway so you would never get my application to begin with. Plus being self employed with the ability to subcontract for the second largest Industrial refrigeration manufacturer in the country I dont think I need you. I'm the guy that people call when they can't figure it out. Not when their clothes washer can't clean the skid marks out of their undies.

Dude, I'm done with your obnoxious, arrogant, brand bashing schizophrenic attitude. I wish you well...you will most certainly need it. I don't need to justify my intelligence...my business..or anything else to you. Keep pushing that Tempstar brand...and bashing the others. BTW..don't move to Cincinnati, or I'll make it a point to put you on the unemployed line by going after everyone of your bids (wouldn't be hard to beat I'm sure).

ROFL. You couldn't even bid some of the things I work on. You would pee your pants.

I'm sure with your affordable name and selling Goodman you can beat alot of people. Doesn't mean your work is better. I never said you needed to justify anything, as a matter of fact you seemed to be more interested in challenging ME. Who started this by making it personal? Hmmm??? I wonder. punk.

And all of my customers are quite happy with the nice quiet tempstar brand that I chose to sell. You keep selling that goodstuff you sell. When they sell things like 99 year compressor warranties that just makes me laugh that they expect someone to take such a gimmick seriously.
